CPDU For Teachers

Teachers may receive credit for any class or workshop offered by the EAC. Choose from all departments: Ceramics, Digital Arts, Drawing and Painting, Fiber and Textiles, Figure Sculpture, Jewelry, Metal Arts (Furniture and Sculpture), Photography and Printmaking.

Teaching Certificate Renewal Information The Evanston Art Center (Provider # 101124) has been approved by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) and the State Teacher Certification Board (STCB) to award credit in the form of continuing education units (CEUs) or continuing professional development units (CPDUs) for professional development activities such as workshops, seminars, classes, etc. which count toward the renewal of teaching certificates. Typically, one 16 week course would earn the teacher 48 CPDUs. Public school teachers please consult your Local Professional Development Committee for details about the development and approval of a Certificate Renewal Plan, and the Art Center for which offerings apply. Please note: teachers must indicate they are taking a course for credit at the time of registration. This information must be received by the EAC Registrar or Director of Education in order to be valid.
