We hope you will visit this year’s advanced placement student exhibition installed in the Evanston Art Center’s main galleries. The level of sophistication in technique and individuality of expression is impressive.
This will be the fifth year that the Evanston Art Center and Loyola Academy have partnered on this special exhibition of student work. The students learn firsthand what is entailed in planning and installing an exhibition as well as how to negotiate a gallery space and support and showcase fellow student’s artworks. Additionally, students are given the opportunity to speak about their work at a public reception given in their honor.
We applaud the dedicated art teachers and leadership of Loyola Academy. Their belief in the importance of the arts in educating our youth should be recognized.
Opening Reception for students, faculty and supporters will be Thursday, February 26, 6:30pm – 8pm. General public viewing will be Friday, February 27 from 10am to 4pm, Saturday, February 28 from 10am to 4pm, and Sunday, March 1 from 1pm to 4pm.
