The EAC Biennial Student Exhibition is an eagerly anticipated event which includes works by adult students in the Departments of Ceramics, Digital Arts, Painting and Drawing, Figure Sculpture, Jewelry and Metalsmithing, Metal Sculpture, Mosaics, Photography, and Printmaking. Students of all skill levels, from beginning to professional, present work in a wide range of media and processes exploring emotional, contemplative, political, and aesthetic themes. Over 80 students will be participating in this exhibition, which is juried for prizes and class awards.

The student body at Evanston Art Center ranges from first-time beginners to experience artists. Many EAC students are already professional artists and/or have gallery representation but are taking classes at the Art Center in order to explore new media or techniques, or have regular access to models and to benefit from peer interaction with other artists.

The Evanston Art Center is dedicated to fostering the appreciation and expression of the arts among diverse audiences. The Art Center offers extensive and innovative instruction in broad areas of artistic endeavor through classes, exhibitions, interactive arts activities, and community outreach initiatives.

The Evanston Art Center offers year-round workshops and classes to youth, teens, adults, and seniors. We have been serving individuals and communities around Chicago for over 80 years.

All exhibits are free and open to the public. Limited parking is available.

Exhibition funding provided by the Illinois Arts Council, a state agency, and the EAC’s general membership.
