THE EVANSTON ART CENTER IS PROUD TO PRESENT THE 9TH ANNUAL WINTER
ARTS & CRAFTS EXPO
Winter Expo features one-of-a-kind pieces of work by over 110 selected artisans. Arts and crafts offered include original, handmade works of jewelry, ceramics, fiber, metal, glass, painting, photography, mixed media, and more. All proceeds from the Expo will benefit the ongoing exhibition, education, and outreach programs at the EAC. The Winter Expo is the perfect opportunity for families to shop for everyone on their holiday gift list.
Winter Expo will be held from November 19 - December 18, 2011 at the EAC, and is sponsored by Blick Art Supply and First Community Bank and Trust.
In addition to the regular scheduled Winter Expo dates, the EAC will also host a number of special shopping events. On November 18th from 6:00–9:00 p.m., there will be a preview party for patrons to shop before the public, along with a silent auction featuring art works donated by participating Expo artists. The silent auction will be open until November 21st at 4:00 p.m.
Preview Party tickets are $30 for early registration and $35 at the door.
On November 26th, the EAC will host a Family Open House with Art Projects for all.
Girl's Night Out on Thursday, December 1st, from 6:00-9:00pm, where shoppers can enjoy wine and cheese with friends while shopping for gifts.
Other Expo events to look forward to are the All-Day Jewelry Fest on December 3rd, Non-Profit Night Out on December 7th, where 20% of the night’s profits will be going to participating non-profit organizations.
The Men’s Shopping Day will feature free gift wrapping and "helpers" to find the perfect gifts on December 17th from 10:00-4:00 p.m.
A non-profit organization, the Evanston Art Center is one of the largest community art centers in Illinois.
