Lyndsay Murphree

Lyndsay

When asked what I do, the short answer is to say I am a botanical artist working in colored pencils. But I have a love for all art- for the different subjects, techniques and materials- which makes it difficult to stay inside that one box. Ultimately, I make art for the joy of the process and the endless possibilities.

Lyndsay's teaching style

Lyndsat  believes in beginning with proper techniques to establish a solid foundation. Once you have that understanding of your tools, you can throw half the rules away and do what comes naturally. She encourages experimentation and understand that every student learns differently, so there is no one size fits all way to teach.
