Course Description:
Open to painters of all mediums, this class will build upon the technical foundation you have, and push you to use color, material, composition and imagery in inventive and resourceful ways. This class will feature several open-ended prompts that are applicable to a wide range of interests and experience levels, as well as opportunities for technical reinforcement and completely self guided projects towards the end. Things we will cover include, but are not limited to, working in a series, combining realism with inventive considerations, using color to curate a “mood”, and learning about both older and contemporary painters. There is an emphasis on making the process of painting work for each student's unique interests, desires and goals.
Skill Level: Intermediate, repeat students welcome

Except for the Independent Study Program, EAC membership is no longer required to take adult classes. EAC members receive a tuition discount on all adult classes, youth classes and workshops. A $75 Independent Study membership is required to participate in the Independent Study Program. The Evanston resident discount no longer applies.
