Artists Bryan Northup and Kelsey Merreck Wagner will facilitate a free, hands-on community art installation, free and open to the public, (pre-registration encouraged). All ages are welcome (youth 12 and under accompanied by parent or caregiver)
We believe the experience of sharing our techniques and approaches to plastic “waste” as an art-making material can encourage positive action among those who experience it. Being able to create artwork hands-on, can enlighten and educate patrons about the effects of man-made materials on the environment, and would be a powerful experience for all involved, especially in this critical age of climate crisis.
Join Bryan and Kelsey in this interactive workshop that will live in the EAC throughout their exhibition, showing the effects plastic has on the environment. During the workshop participants will be asked to help Bryan and Kelsey weave recycled materials into a larger image.
Suggested materials to bring are colorful, clean plastic materials.
