The Evanston Art Center's exhibitions from the classroom continue in November. Teaching artist Ken Minami's Wednesday studio, The Ensemble of the Portrait, has been one of the Art Center's most popular courses.
This painting studio analyzes the drawing and color aspects of portrait painting separately and then combines them into a coordinated whole. Color studies are used to map out the major color relationships and monochrome drawings are used to develop the student's ability to see the form.
We invite you to visit our second-floor gallery to view an impressive selection of portrait paintings. The exhibition will be on view from Sunday, November 2 through Sunday, November 16.
