Course Description:
Join Chicago multidisciplinary artist and educator Alyson Lyon for this 2-day workshop exploring intuition, journaling, and mixed media art creation. Day 1, Alyson will lead the group through a centering practice and a journaling workshop, exploring tools and styles of journaling - you will discover your personal journaling style and theme to work with for the workshop. There is homework! Throughout the week, you will be journaling daily and take two walks to collect found objects. Day 2 will involve creating a mixed media art piece using found objects from your walks, words from your journaling and any gluing, drawing or painting art supplies you’d like. “The Creative Spirit” workshop aims to provide a fun, open, framework for creating inspired mixed media work.

For June 14, please bring a journal and a pen.
For June 21, EAC will provide 24" X 18" Mixed Media paper and gluing, painting and coloring supplies. You can bring anything you'd like from these categories.
