Join us at the Evanston Art Center for an artist talk and lecture by Robert D. Kleinschmidt!

Robert D. Kleinschmidt of RDK Design is a native Chicagoan. Rob received his Baccalaureate Degree in Architecture from the University of Illinois, followed by a Master of Science in Architecture from Columbia University along with extensive study in Landscape Architecture while attending Columbia.   A William Kinney Fellows Traveling Fellowship followed, providing a year of study abroad.

Join us at the Evanston Art Center for a reception to celebrate the opening of the C. Stowe Myers (1906-1995): 20th Century American, Artist, Industrial Designer and Photographer.

Charlie Myers will be a short presentation and talk on Saturday, February 16 at 3:00pm in the First Floor Gallery.

MELODIES ON CANVAS: CONCERT & RECEPTION

The Evanston Art Center (EAC) is excited to collaborate with students from the Academy of the Music Institute of Chicago (MIC) to create a series of four musical performances inspired by four pieces of artwork on display in the 2019 EAC Studio Exhibition. Each string quartet will perform in the EAC First Floor Gallery in front of the artwork that inspired the piece.

"PERCEPTION PROJECT" SOUND ENSEMBLE CONCERT FEATURING PAUL LORENZ

Join us at the Evanston Art Center for a reception to celebrate the closing of Linear Stream featuring work by Paul Lorenz.

The reception will include a performance by Perception Project: Paul Lorenz, durations drawing with microphones, Todd Birdsong, found object percussion & strings, Dean Huges, percussion, Douglas Owens, woodwinds and Carl LaMark, digital sampling.

The performance will last 60 - 90 minutes followed by Q&A.
