Community Discussion on King, Race, and the Arts

Join us at Fleetwood Jourdain Community Center after the annual Martin Luther King Day celebration.

The Evanston Art Center is proud to present the 2016 Faculty Exhibition. This exhibition demonstrates the talents of over 30 Evanston Art Center faculty members comprised of a dedicated group of teaching artists working in a wide array of mediums. Artwork from each EAC department is showcased including ceramics, digital and 3D arts, drawing, painting, fiber, figure sculpture, jewelry, photography, and printmaking.

Join Evanston Art Center and E2 Apartments this Saturday as we partner to exhibit the work of artists Sarah Kaiser, Wendy Miller, Didier Nolet, Robert Porazinski, and Nina Weiss. The exhibit will be free and open to the public on Saturday, January 9 from 12-4 pm at E2 Apartments, located at 1890 Maple Avenue, Evanston, IL 60201 in the 4th floor lounge.

Universities from around Illinois have selected two faculty members and two students to represent their school in this exhibition, Works From Around Our State, which is designed to showcase Illinois artists. This exhibition will be a unique opportunity to see the collected and varying works of artists from the southern, central and northern part of the state, as well as to come together as a state-wide community in support of the arts. 

 

Spring Benefit Gala Party & Live Art Auction 2015

The 2015 ART PARTY will be the first event to take place in our new venue at 1717 Central Street. The fun begins at 6pm and lasts for hours. Party goers will be the first to experience the Art Center's new facility. There will be silent and live auctions, dinner, dancing, and wine! All proceeds benefit the Art Center's expanded arts programming, scholarships and more.

Reclaim MLK Day with We Charge Genocide and the EAC

The Evanston Art Center and Insight Arts are pleased to collaborate once again in conjunction with the Evanston PublicLibrary's Martin Luther King Jr. Day program. This year we are so honored to have with us Monica Trinidad and Todd St. Hill from the Chicago organization We Charge Genocide (the grassroots organization that recently made headlines when they addressed the United Nations in November 2014).

12th Annual Winter Arts & Crafts EXPO

The Evanston Art Center's 12th Annual Winter Arts & Crafts EXPO features original, handmade works of jewelry, ceramics, fiber, metal, glass, painting, photography, mixed-media and more. All proceeds from the EXPO sale will benefit EAC's ongoing exhibition, scholarship, and outreach programs. Based on enthusiastic community support, our 12th year will run for 30 days and represent approximately 100 artists.
